administration, the public sector, universities and industry with a single goal: to transform Czech
transport and mobility through cutting-edge technologies and innovation. According to the
Centre's founders, sustainable economic growth cannot be built without a smart, data- driven and resilient transport system.

One of the driving forces behind the creation of NCM 4.0 is the European ambition to make cities
more pleasant places to live. The European regulation on the Trans-European Transport Network (TEN-T) calls on key Czech cities to prepare integrated Sustainable Urban Mobility Plans (SUMPs). This is not merely an administrative requirement: the aim is to ensure that every urban development project - from a new tram line to a cycle path or logistics terminal - contributes to an overall improvement in residents' quality of life and to the city's long-term sustainability.
